Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (HornCurrent) โ The Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF) has officially launched the 44th round of commando training at its Special Operations Training Center, under the leadership of Lieutenant General Shuma Abdata, Commander of the Special Operations Division.
According to an ENDF statement, Lt. Gen. Shuma urged the new recruits to utilize the expertise of their instructors to strengthen discipline, resilience, and patriotism throughout their training.
โYou are expected to work hard to become disciplined and strong soldiers who embody national pride and dedication,โ he told the trainees.
He described a commando as โa loyal and courageous soldier who serves his country and people with integrity, capable of swiftly turning the tide of battle and making a mark in the nationโs history.โ
The Commander further highlighted that military training should not be seen solely as preparation for warfare but as a means of personal and professional transformation.
โBy developing your skills and discipline, you will contribute to transforming yourselves and your country for generations to come,โ he added.
The ENDF continues to emphasize professionalism, patriotism, and capacity-building in its ongoing effort to modernize the national defense structure and prepare elite forces for multifaceted national and regional missions.
