Egypt Ranks Second in Africa for Industrial Transformation in 2025

Cairo, Egypt – Egypt has secured the second spot in Africa in 2025 for transforming raw resources into finished goods, reaffirming its position as one of the continent’s leading industrial and manufacturing hubs.

The North African nation has made significant strides in processing and value addition across multiple sectors, including cotton, petroleum products, fertilizers, chemicals, textiles, cement, and processed food. This achievement reflects Egypt’s commitment to industrial growth, economic diversification, and enhancing its global competitiveness.

Officials highlighted that Egypt’s strong performance is driven by large-scale infrastructure projects, expanding industrial zones, and supportive government policies aimed at boosting exports and attracting foreign investment.

Experts note that Egypt’s ability to move beyond raw material exports and establish itself as a center for finished goods production not only strengthens its economy but also positions it as a key player in Africa’s industrial transformation agenda.

By ranking second on the continent, Egypt continues to bridge the gap between raw resource availability and advanced manufacturing, contributing to regional trade integration and long-term sustainable growth.
