Addis Ababa, Ethiopia — State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, KUNIMITSU Ayano, arrived in Addis Ababa on Monday morning for an official working visit to Ethiopia.
Upon her arrival at Bole International Airport, the State Minister was warmly received by the Director-General for Middle East, Asia and Pacific Affairs at Ethiopia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dewano Kedir.
According to diplomatic sources, State Minister Kunimitsu Ayano is expected to hold meetings with senior Ethiopian government officials during her stay, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation between Ethiopia and Japan across political, economic, and development sectors.
Japan and Ethiopia have maintained long-standing diplomatic ties, with Japan playing an active role in development cooperation, infrastructure support, and capacity-building initiatives in Ethiopia.
