A high-level delegation of the Ethiopian Federal Police, led by Commissioner General Demelash Gebremichael, has arrived in Dire Dawa on an official visit, HornCurrent reports.
Upon their arrival at Dire Dawa International Airport, the delegation was accorded a formal and dignified police reception. The welcoming ceremony was led by the Mayor of the Dire Dawa City Administration, H.E. Mr. Kedir Juhar, alongside the Dire Dawa Police Command Chief, Commissioner Alemu Megra. Senior officials from both the Dire Dawa Police Commission and the Ethiopian Federal Police were also in attendance.
During the visit, Commissioner General Demelash Gebremichael and members of the delegation conducted an on-site inspection of the Ethiopian Federal Police Eastern Rapid Response Force Project currently under construction in Dire Dawa. The delegation reviewed the progress of the project and assessed its current implementation status.
The visit underscores the Federal Police leadership’s commitment to strengthening institutional capacity, enhancing rapid response capabilities, and reinforcing security infrastructure across strategic regions of the country.
