A well-organized terror attack took place a village under Shilabo district of Somali state of Ethiopia as of Tuesday morning, October 28, 2025. Where heavily armed terrorist Militia was carried out a terror attack against innocent pastoralist civilians of Shilabo district residents and were killed 6 unarmed Ethiopian citizens. In fact, less than 6 month it is third incidents (3rd) that terrorist group had crossed border and invaded deep into Ethiopian territory of Shilabo woreda, and carried out such terror attacks, where a total of 30 civilians were killed, many others wounded, and hospitalized. The inflicted people are hosting community of Ogaden natural Gas and oil fields. Specifically, Bahgari clan, Ogaden sub clan that resides Shilabo, Dobawayn and Higlolay woredas of Korahe zone, Somali state of Ethiopia.
This terrorist group had cover up with AYR Tribe of Habargidir, the well-known late shabab leader ADAN AYROW sub clan. Whom was killed air-strike by the US airforce; somewhere, in Galmudug area. Where this militia stationed and invading Ethiopia border to harm Ethiopian and create security related instability, & chaos.
It is believed that Mahad salad the Somalia NISA director who is realized to be affiliated with terrorist insurgence. Mainly, shabab and Defense Minister of Federal Republic of Somalia. Mr. Ahmed Mo’alin Fiki had many times provoked, and had rhetoric war against peace and security of Ethiopia. Where Mr. Fiki definitely collaborates with Egypt to prematurely be impaired Ethiopia’s national interests, & prides mega developmental projects including GERD, and Ogaden national gas and oil, as these two countries (Somalia & Egypt) together see Ethiopia’s economic transformation projects as their national threats So that Mahad salad and Ahmed Mo’alin Fiki who are the same sub clan of ADAN AYROW, the late shabab leader: are believed arming this terrorist groups with heavy military army, and exerting their maximum efforts to do whatever costs that they could destabilize Ethiopia’s peace, security and overall stability.
Such recurrent attacks towards Shilabo and Higlolay people are intended to flee these Ethiopian citizens from the border areas to create security vacuum and have access that can be easily reached kalub Natural Gas and oil field in order to carry our explosive terror attach, and the like.
Today’s incident was a harrowing event where innocent civilians inside a small vehicle hit heavy weapon which completely destroyed the vehicle and men inside it. The primary objective to undertake such terror attack against the innocent pastoralist Ethiopians who resides near border and surrounding areas of Ogaden natural gas and oil field is to destabilize the major development projects being carried out in Somali State of Ethiopia. Particularly, Kalub Liquefied Natural Gas Refinery which was inaugurated, and laid foundation stone for two major industrial projects: Gode Fertilized industry and Gode oil Refinery facility, early this month, as of October 2, 2025 by Ethiopia Prime Minister HE. DR. Abiyi Ahmed Ali.
Therefore, as Ethiopian citizen hailed Somali state. I call and strongly suggest to office of Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Ethiopia National intelligence and security service, Ministry of Defense of Ethiopia, National Defense force, Somali Regional state President Office, Somali state security service office, and Somali state police Commission to closely monitor and strictly follow up what is going on the border areas under the Shilabo and Higlolay woredas to protecting the safety and security of innocent Ethiopian pastoralist who are threatened by the terror group crossing border and invading deep inside Ethiopia, who kill Ethiopian people and attempts to jeopardize citizens, to endanger the broader peace, and security of Ethiopia and intended to halt the major developmental progress that would enable a better Ethiopia nationhood.
My final testimony with the strongest term is to remind all concerned governmental institutions should not undermine what is going on the above stated border areas of two woredas mentioned of Korahe zone and their catchment areas. It is right moment act accordingly to ensure the safety and security of Ethiopians around borders and to eliminate any potential security threats that would appear anytime in the future.
