INJIBARA – A massive public demonstration is taking place today in Injibara and surrounding areas as residents gather to show their strong support for the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD).
Participants are marching with banners and slogans, emphasizing the dam’s national importance as a symbol of unity, sovereignty, and development for Ethiopia. Local leaders and community elders have joined the rally, calling on citizens to stand together in safeguarding the project against internal and external pressures.
The GERD remains a cornerstone of Ethiopia’s energy ambitions, expected to provide power for millions and drive regional integration once fully operational.
