
Addis Ababa (HornCurrent) – Ethiopia has reiterated its firm commitment to advancing its long-standing strategic partnership with the People’s Republic of China, emphasizing that bilateral relations will continue to deepen across multiple sectors.
On Friday, a high-level Ethiopian official received and held discussions with Jiang Jianqing, a member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on key issues of mutual interest, underscoring the strong friendship between the two nations and their peoples. The talks highlighted cooperation in areas that will further consolidate political, economic, and social ties between Ethiopia and China.
Ethiopia has consistently described China as a reliable partner in infrastructure development, trade, and investment, while China has pledged continued support for Ethiopia’s national development priorities.
Officials concluded that the Ethiopia–China relationship remains a model of South–South cooperation and vowed to work closely to elevate the partnership to new heights.
