Reporting from the capital, HornCurrent.com attended a high-level internal briefing delivered by Dr. Legese Tulu, Minister of Communications Services, to the leadership and staff of the Ethiopian News Agency (EZEA). The minister outlined the government’s ongoing national agenda, emphasizing its commitment to sustainable peace, national unity, and inclusive economic reform.
Addressing participants, Dr. Legese noted that the current administration has laid a solid foundation for a stable and corruption-free political system, underpinned by strong and independent institutions. He highlighted that “the era of a single dominant narrative is over. The government now embraces a shared national story — one that reflects the diversity and unity of the Ethiopian people.”
The minister spoke of the significant progress made in macroeconomic reform, which has helped stabilize the national economy amid ongoing regional and global challenges. He emphasized that local economic reforms have started to show results, particularly in restoring market balance and improving economic resilience.
“We are focused on increasing productivity, raising income levels, and completing the major infrastructure projects that have already begun,” Dr. Legese said. He also mentioned that improving the quality of life for citizens remains a central priority for the government.
The session ended with a forward-looking message. Dr. Legese encouraged all institutions to work collaboratively to sustain peace and strengthen national cohesion, noting that unity, dialogue, and reform are the guiding principles of the current government’s mission.
