The final round of stakeholder discussions held today brought together media professionals from both the public and private sectors to address key industry-specific challenges and opportunities.
According to a message posted on the official X (formerly Twitter) account of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, the forum focused on the media’s critical role in Ethiopia’s development—emphasizing its responsibility to keep the public informed, foster constructive dialogue, and support the country’s broader progress.
“The media plays a vital role in Ethiopia’s development by keeping the public informed, promoting dialogue, and supporting national progress,” the post read.
The discussions mark a significant step in engaging media stakeholders to help shape a more transparent, responsive, and inclusive information environment across the nation.
