rime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed announced today via his official X (formerly Twitter) account that he received General Michael Langley, Commander of the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM), for high-level discussions.
The meeting focused on bilateral cooperation and regional issues of mutual interest, underscoring the strategic partnership between Ethiopia and the United States in promoting peace, security, and development across the Horn of Africa.
General Langley, a senior figure in U.S. military leadership, plays a key role in coordinating American defense and security initiatives on the African continent. His visit reflects continued engagement between AFRICOM and Ethiopia on areas including counterterrorism, regional stability, and military cooperation.
