Washington D.C. – The White House has unexpectedly canceled a meeting that was scheduled to take place today between Russian President Vladimir Putin and former U.S. President Donald Trump, according to Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting was intended to continue a peace-focused agenda that both leaders had initiated, particularly concerning efforts to de-escalate tensions between Iran and Israel.
“No further details were provided regarding the reason for the cancellation,” Zakharova stated.
Putin and Trump reportedly held a private conversation yesterday aimed at addressing the growing conflict and exploring diplomatic solutions in the Middle East.
