Tehran – In a dramatic escalation, Israeli fighter jets have targeted and struck the headquarters of Iran’s state broadcaster (IRIB) in Tehran, dealing a heavy blow to the regime’s central media infrastructure.
Following the strike, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a stern statement:
“The Iranian regime’s propaganda and incitement broadcasting authority was attacked by Israel after a widespread evacuation of residents in the area.
We will defeat the Iranian dictator everywhere.”
The airstrike came shortly after evacuation warnings were issued in District 3 of Tehran. The attack reportedly caused significant damage to the core of Iran’s state-controlled media operations.
This marks a shift in Israel’s military strategy, directly targeting not only military assets but also the ideological and propaganda machinery of the Iranian regime. Analysts say the move sends a clear message: Israel is expanding the scope of its operations to strike at the heart of the regime’s influence.
The situation remains tense as the region braces for possible retaliation from Iran.
