In a significant military development, Iran has reportedly become the first nation to shoot down fifth-generation F-35 stealth fighter jets, according to an official statement from the Iranian Army’s Public Relations Office.
The incident occurred during Israel’s early Friday morning strikes targeting Iranian territory, which allegedly resulted in the deaths of senior Iranian military commanders, nuclear scientists, and several civilians, including women and children.
Iranian air defense systems successfully engaged and destroyed two Israeli F-35 fighter jets, along with multiple drones, during the retaliatory response. The status of the Israeli pilots remains unknown and is currently under investigation.
The F-35, known for its stealth and advanced combat capabilities, is considered one of the most sophisticated fighter aircraft in the world. If confirmed, this marks the first successful downing of an F-35 in combat.
