What started as a nightmare for Bhoomi Chauhan turned into what she describes as a “total miracle.” After arriving late to Ahmedabad airport, the student missed her Air India flight to London by just minutes—only to be unexpectedly reunited with the departing aircraft.
According to the BBC, Chauhan, who was traveling to the UK to continue her studies, arrived after the gate had already closed. Despite her pleas, she was initially denied boarding.
In an unusual turn of events, airport staff and Air India coordinated swiftly, and she was allowed to board the flight after a brief delay, a rare occurrence in today’s tightly regulated air travel environment.
“I was crying… I thought I had lost everything,” Chauhan told BBC News. “But they called me back—it’s totally a miracle for me.”
